This is an interesting programme (although in my opinion it could have been rather shorter than its length of 58 minutes and still manage to make the necessary points).

Much of the content centres on the Laxdæla Saga, which is one of the greatest of the Islendigasögur, but one of the themes that comes through most strongly is the importance of the Sagas to the modern-day Icelanders.
