Founded by John Graden in 1993, the National Association of Professional Martial Artists (NAPMA), was a martial arts marketing, continuing education, business networking and support association.
In 2003, Graden moved online with the Martial Arts Teachers' Association (MATA) with a focus on business + teaching skills for Aikido, budo, brazillian jujitsu, grappling, hapkido, iaido, jeet kune do, judo, kali, kempo, kenpo, kendo, kick boxing, krav maga, kung fu, muay thai, ninjitsu, shaolin, shotokan, taekwondo, tai chi, traditional karate, wing chun, wushu, and any other martial arts schools and clubs worldwide. MATA is the largest such association in the world, with members in more than 26 countries.
