Today we're going to be taking a look a part number STL26RB. This is the Optronics Micro-Flex Rectangular Trailer Light for the right hand side of your trailer. If you need to pick up one up for the left hand side of your trailer, you can find that on our website. It's sold separately with part number STL27RB. The rectangular light is going to serve seven functions for trailers more than 80" wide. It's going to provide your stop, turn, tail, rear clearance, rear reflex, side marker, and side reflex functions. LEDs are going to be a great replacement for incandescent lights.

You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs. You don't have to worry about brittle filaments. They last longer, they burn brighter, and they're much more efficient. This particular light's going to feature a nice, waterproof design as well as a corrosion-resistant design. It's going to contain 14 LEDs. It's going to have a universal mounting design here on the back side.

Again, it is designed to be mounted onto the right side of your trailer. If you can see here, we have our three mounting slots. Mounting hardware is included. If we take a measurement, the distance that we have between each slot, it looks like going all the way down the line, they're all going to be separated on 2" centers. Mounting hardware just slides directly into the slot.

It's got a nice little safety catch here, so it's going to make sure that it holds it securely in place once it's installed. The overall length is going to give us a measurement of about 8 1/16" long. The overall width from the back to the very front, measuring to this point here, about 2 11/16". Measuring all the way out to this edge here at the center of the lens is going to probably be about 3". Overall width, that's going to give us a measurement of about 2 15/16". On the back side, we're going to notice a three-wire design. We're going to have our white wire, which is going to be for our ground.

We're going to have our brown wire, which is going to be for our taillight function. Then we're going to have our green wire, which is going to be for our stop and turn signals. They're all labelled here at the back of the housing. That way you can easily know which wire goes to what function. This does have micro-flex technology. That's going to increase your light output while using 90% less energy than incandescent lights. This light's going to feature a nice, contemporary appearance while it maintains a traditional footprint of a rectangular trailer light. It is Department of Transportation compliant. Optronics is going to put a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. We want to go and hook it up to our external power source, that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. We're simply just going to go ahead and make our connections, then we can turn off our overhead lights. This is going to be the running light function of the light. You can see there, it sends out a really nice, consistent signal. Going to have your side marker indicator right there. Then on this side you're going to have your side reflex, it's got a built-in reflector, which is hard to see with the lights off, but when a light would hit that you would really see it reflect well. This is the running light function. When we apply our brakes, you can see how that center area of LEDs really brightens up, sending out a really nice, strong, consistent LED signal. It's also going to function every time we activate our turn signals. That's going to do it for today's review of part number STL26RB.
