In this video we take out 5 SCX24 Micro Crawlers, each with different levels of upgrades ranging from mild to wild motors, different suspension setups, and tire and wheel combinations, and see how they all do!
The star of the show is definitely the MOFO RC Torque Beast V2 motor! It is not the fastest of the group but it is the most controllable down low for the slow crawling action!
Starting from the first truck in the video we have the grey C10 powered by a Torque Beast V2 with the 30% faster than stock .5 pitch pinion and Hot racing spur gear, MOFO Oil Filled shocks (which we learned after this video we had installed incorrectly and now it has more flex), MR CNC weighted bead lock wheels, RC4WD Super Swamper Thornbird tires and aluminum steering links and transmission mount.
The second truck up is the Jeep running an NHX 3500kv Brushless system. It is using another set of MR CNC bead lock wheels and RC4WD Super Swamper TSL tires.
The third truck is one of the green C10's. This one has a Surpass 2204 1400kv brushless out runner model airplane motor motor powered by a Hobbywing 18A speed control. It has RC4WD steel wheels that are inverted and I am running BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires on them. It has NHX friction shocks that are mounted in a way to give it a lift kit.
The two Deadbolts come out last. The green one has a MOFO RC Torque Beast V2 with the stock gear so it mounts to the stock motor plate. It is smooth as can be. It has a set of Little Guy Trail King tires that would have made it pretty much dominate the little crawler course had I driven it better.
The white and blue deadbolt is my oldest one. It has caught on fire and been rebuilt. It has a Hot Racing 050 size Barrage motor, an aftermarket ESC, all aluminum links, Hot Racing shocks, Treal wheels, RC4WD Patagonia Milestar tires and an Emax steering servo.
The 6th truck, the other green C10, is the hotrod of the group, but unfortunately my camera died before it came out. It has the MOFO RC Buzzsaw Insane edition motor, a Savox steering servo, Power Hobby Super Swamper bogger tires on inverted RC4WD wheels, and some other mods that help it along. Not only is it the fastest one I have, but it also had an insanely good crawl speed and pretty much dominated the crawling course. I will be heading back out to the course and we'll do another video on this little truck so you can see what it is capable of.
I also have a few more things in the works for the other green C10 so it will be a battle of the trucks next time I do a video on the little 24th scale rigs.
