Munir Hossn and Elas: Fake / The Black Room Sessions

The Black Room Sessions is a groundbreaking show that moves the interaction between artists and the audience to a whole new level. Musicians and the audience consolidate to form a live music experience like no other creating a unique and energetic synergy.

In this installment of our Black Room Sessions, we were thrilled to have a great artist join us: Munir Hossn, and his project: Elas.

Munir is a very talented multi-instrumentalist that is accompanied by five fascinating women in this project. They showcased their musical talents to over 80 attendees who allowed themselves to be part of this great musical experience that was produced by the team of professionals at Light F/X Studios.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Munir Hossn originates from a rich mix of cultural backgrounds: Brazil, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

He was a key element in the Brazilian music scene at the young age of ten. At that young age, he was already working with professional musical bands.

He launched his international career at the age of 22, taking his music and culture to the four corners of the world.

Munir Hossn has also collaborated with renowned international artists, like Joe Zawinul Syndicate (Austria), Hermeto Pascual (Brazil), Didier Lockwood (France), Quincy Jones and Global Gumbo All-Stars (US), Mayra Andrade (Cabo Verde), Concha Buika (Spain), Alfredo Rodriguez (Cuba), and many others.

MUNIR HOSSN & ELAS:
His current project, "Munir Hossn & Elas," is deeply intertwined with the album "Vientre" (Womb).

The name gets straight to the point: "Munir and The Women." He composed each melody and rhythm envisioning how they would sound with strength, energy, and above all, feminine sensibility.

The idea of making an album with a dedicated focus on women, became a compelling necessity, resulting in a very special story filled with mixed emotions.

"Vientre" seeks to embody the strongest relationship that a human being is able to experience, the unique bond between a mother and her newborn child.

The synergy between compositions and Munir's vision, inspired on feminine qualities, comes alive through a group of talented female musicians who elevate and transform the written music into immersive vibrations.
