𝗜𝗧𝗔-𝗘𝗡𝗚 (𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗘𝗡𝗚 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡!!!)

Perché la scelta di questo brano?


Ho composto questo brano in 1a superiore per un progetto scolastico, con tema “Romeo e Giulietta”. Ci si può immaginare la scena finale.

La fase di scrittura è stata di getto e riflette molti stati d’animo: il dolore, la sofferenza e la falsa speranza, tutte emozioni “fuse” e unite in questo brano.


Cosa pensi abbia di “speciale” questo brano?


Renaissance esprime davvero tante emozioni: credo che la “magia” di questo brano sia la capacità di trasportare l’ascoltatore, immergerlo e fargli sentire queste mie sensazioni.


Nonostante lo abbia scritto per la scena dell’ opera, componendo mi sono reso conto che non facevo altro che tirare fuori ciò che avevo dentro. Infatti solo recentemente sono riuscito a comprenderne anche la profondità e il valore.
Rivisitandolo, sono stato sorpreso dal modo in cui ha risvegliato in me emozioni intense e me le ha trasmesse.


È difficile suonarlo? Cosa c’è da tenere in mente per poterlo eseguire?


Si e no. A livello di note, non direi. Anzi la presenza delle note ostinate, e un basso che scende lineare, non la rende difficile da eseguire. Dal mio punto di vista, ciò che invece è fondamentale è:


1- Saper gestire le dinamiche:
in ogni sezione (numero di chiamata), le dinamiche variano leggermente a seconda della frase musicale. Questo per creare un climax nel ritornello.


2- Avere una consapevolezza della “narrazione” completa del brano, e delle frasi musicali che la compongono:
Già dall’inizio bisogna tenere a mente come si vuole raccontare la storia. Se all’inizio ad esempio si suona troppo forte, si rischia di non riuscire ad enfatizzare le parti successive. Questo forse “rovinerebbe” un po’ la magia.

Per concludere, sono soddisfatto del risultato finale, dello spartito, del video, e dell'audizione nella quale l'ho presentata.

Details:

I composed this song in 9th grade for a school project, for the theme “Romeo and Juliet”. You can imagine the final scene.

i was in the flow when I composed it, so It didn't took me a lot of time. It reflects many feelings: the pain, the suffering and the false hope, all emotions “fused” and merged in this song.


What do you think is “special” about this song?

Renaissance really expresses many emotions: I believe that the “magic” of this song is the ability to carry the listener, dive them, and letting them feel these feelings.

Although I wrote it for the scene out of the original work(Romeo and Juliet), when I was composing, I realized that I did nothing but pull out what I had inside. In fact, only recently I have been able to understand its depth and meaning.

When I revisited it, I was surprised by the way it aroused in me intense emotions and transmitted them to me.


Is it difficult to play it? What is there to keep in mind to be able to perform it?

Yes and no. talking about the notes, I wouldn't say that. In fact, the presence of the ostinato notes, and a bass that goes down linear, does not make it difficult to perform. From my point of view, what is critical instead is:

1- Knowing how to handle the dynamics:
in each section (rehearsal letter), the dynamics vary slightly depending on the musical phrase. This is to create a climax in the refrain.

2- Have an awareness of the complete "narrative" of the song, and the musical phrases that make it up:
Right from the beginning, you need to keep in mind how you want to tell the story. If you play too loudly at the beginning, for example, you may fail to emphasize the later parts. This would perhaps "ruin" the magic a bit.

To conclude, I'm satisfied of the final result, the sheet music, the video, and the audition at which I was able to present it.
