Ankylosing Spondylitis affects the spine and large joints that causes bone spurs to develop or the growing of extra bones between vertebrae (spine bone). Over time, these bone projections may fuse the bones altogether, resulting in the locking of spine vertebrae and reducing the flexibility, often forming hunchback posture.
