http://www.guitarBreakdown.com - Shawn Tubbs is by far one of our favorite recent guitar discoverers. There hasn’t been one thing we’ve herd him play that didn’t make us jump out of our seats. So of course we had to Transcribe and Breakdown a bunch of it for ourselves and as always … we thought you’d appreciate it if we shared some of it with you!

Mr. Shawn Tubbs is a super talented Nashville Session Guitar player. Who has been touring with Carrie Underwood. He reminds us of guys like Dann Huff, Pete Thorn and Steve Lukather … in the way that they play the perfect parts for any given song as well as serving up terrifying guitar solos when needed.

We talked briefly with Shawn on Facebook and he mentioned that he doesn’t really think a lot about what he is playing … he really lets his ear guide him. Kind of like an Allan Holdsworth … in the way that Allan doesn’t know “traditional” theory … but knows what he wants to play because he knows the sounds and how to get them.

This is the first of many Lessons we’ll be doing on Shawn’s playing. We’ve already Transcribed about 5 or 6 Licks / Solos that he’s played in his youTube videos. And we’ll do a Breakdown of those for you in the coming weeks.
