Stellaris 1.0 - Was The 2016 Release Any Good?

Stellaris 1.0 released in 2016. Was the release version of Stellaris any good though? Lets look back and try it out. We have pops on planets with tiles, that was wild, a stellaris tile system. It turns out the leader cap system from Stellaris Galactic Paragons was kind of there in the old system as well.
