Steve Levy, Managing Director from Heat Outdoors shows us the all-new parasol heater. Designed to fix directly to a wide range of upright parasols or hung, the Shadow Parasol heater is a completely unique and exceptional heater for your parasol.

The Shadow Parasol heater can be clamped safely to outdoor parasols (30mm-55mm) in seconds. It has a stylish aluminium construction which makes the heater ideal for either commercial or residential outdoor use. From beer garden to al fresco patio dining at home, the Shadow Parasol Heater is the perfect choice to easily combine an existing parasol with an advanced energy efficient way of raising the temperature to make more use of any outdoor space.

Unlike the old style of parasol heaters, the Shadow Parasol Heater is made from lightweight aluminium with replaceable heating heads and a dynamic three-way remote control allowing each head to be switched on/off individually. The new design is exceptionally stylish and far more durable than any other pole mounted parasol heater on the market. It uses the brand new and highly advanced Shadow Ultra Low Glare+ lamp technology making it possible to achieve superb heat and ultra low light in this innovative parasol heater.

Three individual remote controlled heating elements emit up to 3kW of infrared ultra low glare heat and rotate, allowing you to vary heat distribution across the area you’re trying to heat. The short-wave infrared heat which the Shadow Parasol Heater emits is specifically heats objects and people directly. Gusts of wind and ambient temperature do not affect the amount of heat that reach you and the lamps start emitting their maximum output in under 1 second via a controlled soft-start function which protects the circuit from surges. Each heat lamp can be turned off and on individually for added efficiency when only part of the area beneath needs to be heated.

Connecting your parasol heater

Under EU regulation the Shadow Parasol heater must be supplied with a maximum 1.8m power cable. If you require additional flexibility, we recommend our waterproof extension power connector. You can add it under additional items under the add to basket button.

The waterproof connector is used to replace the existing plug and give additional distance from the power source but additional flexibility in routing the cable for your particular table or parasol pole.

The heater must be mounted in a well ventilated area.
There must be at least a 0.25m clearing between the heater and ceilings / roofs
There must be at least a 0.5m clearing between the heater and adjacent walls / fabrics
There must be at least a 1.8m clearing between the bottom edge of the heater and the floor
When using a 3kW heater in commercial premises or other locations where the heaters are used continuously for long periods of time then it is advisable to consult an electrician. A 3kW heater used for long periods of time may need to be hard wired into a 20A fused spur rather than used in a standard 13A socket.
