They started off providing services of wealth storage and management with secrecy thus attracting the richest of the world.
Switzerland has headquartered some of the largest banks managing the global wealthiest’s money… UBS, Credit Suisse, Julius Baer…
👉🏼 Next, you don’t unnecessarily get into conflicts with anyone else, nor pick sides in others’ issues.
It’s always maintained political neutrality, and has one of the most stable governments for the longest time, making it attractive for company headquarters.
👉🏼 Next, you pick manufacturing in industries where it’s a low weight, low volume but high value product.
Because getting raw material on top of the mountains and then taking it to the world can be a logistical nightmare…
So you pick - Jewellery, watches, chocolates.
And then you go all out differentiating yourself on quality with such crazy commitment that the world believes your luxury and premium positioning.
Since 2015, it’s number 1 on the Global Innovation Index.
👉🏼 Next, you make it easier for people to and the top corporate tax rate is roughly at 20%, with it being lower at around 12-15% in a few regions
