Better Infestations! Rimworld Mod Showcase

A mod that for Rimworld Beta 18 that sets out to improve everything about infestations in the current base game. Now hidden and more deadly, but less strong it changes the game in a positive way (in my opinion)

'This mod changes almost everything about infestations, hives and insect behavior.
I used Harmony for a few detours, the source to the mod is included and free to use.

You wont receive a notification on an infestation event
Hives spawn away from the colony in deep dark caves preferably
Hives spawn smaller bugs at first and gradually spawn bigger and meaner insects
Insects eat insect jelly, they will seek out prey to bring back to the hive to convert to jelly
Insects don't discriminate prey targets, they simply hunt the closest animal or pawn they see
Hives will reproduce more hives after a period of time which will slowly produce more insects
The maximum number of hives per map is 9
Difficulty will affect the spawn times of insects and hive reproduction
Hives that spawn on map generation will have insects, but the hive itself will be dormant and unable to replenish lost insects or reproduce additional hives
Hives that spawn on map generation will start with a good supply of insect jelly, they won't hunt until the supply runs low
Changed the insect mining behavior slighty so they wont dig too big of cavern around the hive, also fixed a bug where digging out of map bounds would cause an error
Each hive has its own Lord control, meaning insects spawned from that hive do duties for that hive and not others
If you attack a hive or insect of a hive, the entire brood of that hive will scramble to attack, if you leave them alone, they will go back to their duties
Destroying a hive breaks the morale of the insects from that hive, making it easier to kill them off
Mod options for configuration of custom insect targeting. If you don't want them to target boomrats you can add them to the filter list'
