Using Watercolours To Colour Other White Paint Mediums: Flashe, Gouache, Acryla Gouache & Acrylics

A little experiment today, using watercolour paints to add colour to different white paints. Seems like a nice way to try out different mediums, if you already have watercolours, but only want to buy the white in the different mediums.

Please note, this is just for a bit of fun, and not really intended as a long term artists' quality replacement for the actual mediums. I didn't get into how lightfastness is affected, or how mixing binders might affect the long term stability of the binder etc.

Also, remember you are mixing with White, so the deepest, darkest colours will be harder to achieve. You could probably still get dark colours, but then you'd be using a high proportion of (potentially expensive) watercolour paint, and losing more of the original paint's properties.
