In this video, I explore the haunting ruins of Futaba, an abandoned Japanese town still trapped inside the nuclear exclusion zone. From homes filled with old memories to schools, vending machines, and shops still intact but overtaken by nature, this place feels like the set of an apocalyptic movie—but it’s real.
As I walk through the cracked streets, with the Fukushima power plant looming in the background, the silence is unsettling. This isn’t just a ghost town—it’s a reminder of what happens when technology, nature, and human error collide.
📍 Where is Futaba?
Futaba is one of the closest towns to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant and was directly in the path of radiation after the tsunami-triggered meltdown. The entire population was forced to flee, and most never returned.
