Hey Students! Welcome to yet another episode of the BYJU’S Achievers series. There are two kinds of federations discussed in this online class. They are as follows:
Holding Together Federation: In this type, powers are shared among various constituent parts in order to accommodate the entity's diversity. Power is generally skewed toward the central authority here. For instance, India, Spain, and Belgium.
Coming Together Federation: In this type, independent states join forces to form a larger unit. States have more autonomy in this type of federation than in other types of federations. As an example, consider the United States, Australia, and Switzerland.
