Hello guys, I've finally reached paragon 800, but I still don't have enough combat rating (at least with good gear) to run Inferno 6 Challenge Dungeons, I've already gotten 2 of the new essences, unfortunately it's none of those I want to try... 😑 and, even though I was also able to get some more or less decent paragon 800 gear, most things I'm using are from previous difficulties. 😅
Blizzard will hate me for this... 😋 I decided do make this video to demonstrate (once again) that, opposite to what the game tries so hard to make you believe, Resonance won't make you a better player, it will only increase your Damage and Life STATS (you can check this by yourself) that's it, it won't make you stronger or make you hit any harder, at least on PVE, where the game is not so much.. pay to win... 😉 I'm not saying I have any hate or grudge against high resonance players, because I really don't, or that resonance is not helpful, because it is.. that is, as long as you know what you're doing, because if you don't, you're just throwing your money away to get some flashy new wings, that won't even make you fly... 😎
NOTES:
I've improved this build as much as I currently can, I also upgraded a few normal and legendary gems, which allowed me to increase my secondary stats. Just out of curiosity, on my pvp builds, amor is now 4.6k, armor penetration is almost 5K, potency and resistance is about 4k;
Like Auroth said not long ago, in dungeons, in order to inflict the highest possible damage, it's very important that you reach monsters / demons first, especially if you're using a dot's based build such as this one, and that's exactly what I mean when I say that this method ignores other player's Resonance;
In case you missed it, let me just remind you that my resonance in this build is 2280 so, even when compared to a player with "only" 3K resonance, we're talking about a 700+ resonance difference... in the video you will see dungeon runs with players that have 3, 4, 5 and even 8K resonance;
More often than not, when it ain't me, the highest damage comes from players that don't have high resonance, usually between 1600 to 3000;
Even in dungeons where I start at a huge disadvantage, either because the game took longer to load for me than for other players, or because of game lag itself, most times I still manage to end with the highest damage;
I know, theoretically there are better gems for dot's builds, and I have 3 of those in my inventory (Chip of the Stoned Flesh, Viper's Bite and Everlasting Torment), but the difference for me is not that high, so I went with the one's I normally use for all my builds;
As you'll see in the beginning of the video, the damage result on the test dummy is not all that impressive, the reason for this is because the dummy counts as only 1 target, and this build is meant to apply dot's on as many foes as it possibly can, it still averages 8.5 / 9M dps of foot and 8 / 8.5 dps or horse, which ain't very bad I think;
You'll also notice that even without using Sivket's Advantage shoulders essence, my cooldown time on horse skill is only a tiny bit over 1 second, to achieve this you should get as much cooldown reduction and beneficial effects duration buffs as you can;
Before someone points it out, yes, I've increased the video speed on the dungeon runs to 1.5X, in order to keep it in the 30min range for you guys 😊
