I am always excited for a new challenge, and this has certainly been exactly that. Building a Tiny House, the greatest challenge is simply fitting in the essentials. For us, since Emi is Japanese, a bath tub was high on her list of things to try and fit into the house. We were lucky enough to find the perfect tub, so the process of fitting it into a space in the house began.

I am far more a shower person, so I had to find a way to make a shower possible in this same place, so the tub would double as a shower base as well. From there, I wanted to go with tile, because it is beautiful, waterproof and durable. It definitely was not the cheapest option, but the great thing about building a tiny house, is that the cost is typically a lot less, so theres a little extra for the luxuries.

Other than tile, the rest of the room will be cedar, simply because it can withstand water without having to worry about rot or mold. I went with cedar tongue and groove, which was a lot of fun because it is a product I am quite familiar with now, after having done all of the interior walls with T&G pine.

The bulk of the shower room is now complete, and after some plumbing we will be ready to enjoy.
