If you wonder when to change serpentine belt or how often you should replace serpentine belt in this video we will demonstrate what is the recommended interval to replace serpentine belt and when you should inspect serpentine belt. If you live in extreme climate such as too hot or too cold this can affect how long the belt will last too. Also, if the belt is exposed to coolant leaks or oil leaks this can make your belt to fail quickly too. Our belt broke at 107k miles and 9 years old. For this specific brand of belt it was supposed to last 90k miles. The serpentine belt usually brakes unexpectedly and you may end up in the middle of nowhere or you may even destroy your engine.
