Vineet Gupta | Meet the Founders, Ashoka University

Vineet Gupta graduated from IIT Delhi in 1991 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a first generation entrepreneur. He is currently the cofounder and Managing Director of Jamboree Education, India’s largest test prep company for exams such as GMAT, GRE and SAT. Jamboree operates 31 centres in 17 cities of India, Middle East, Singapore and Nepal.

Vineet is also a Founder and Trustee of Ashoka University. Ashoka University is a philanthropic initiative founded by eminent business leaders and scholars and offers a liberal education at par with the best in the world. It has been one of the most exciting initiatives in higher education in India and The Economic Times has termed it as “India’s answer to the Ivy league”. Vineet has played a key execution role at Ashoka and also served as its Pro Vice Chancellor. In this interview, he talks about his role in setting up Ashoka with Anirban, a student of the founding undergraduate batch.
