The Streetcar That Almost Died

In this small BC city, you might come across some train tracks that go nowhere. But... why are they here? The answer is likely a streetcar system of a bygone era BUT if you dig deeper, you'll find a public transportation system that was on the brink of collapse time and time again. But somehow... it survived. I wanted to know why Nelson kept its streetcar alive until the 40s and beyond.
