How to Play Chopin | Nocturne in C Sharp minor, Op. Posth. (No. 20) [Tutorial]

Here is my complete tutorial on "how to" learn, practice, and play the "Nocturne in C Sharp minor" (Op.Posth.) by Frédéric Chopin.

"Lento con gran espressione in C Sharp Minor" (KK IVa/16), known as "The C Sharp Minor Nocturne" (No. 20) was originally composed as a preparation piece for his sister Ludwika in anticipation of his Second Piano Concerto and was never intended for publication. Yet, the piece’s emotional depth has earned it a special place within Chopin's repertoire.

In this video, I explore the composition in three parts and break these down into smaller sections. I’ll guide you through the phrasing, timing, and pedaling techniques that bring out its expressive qualities.
