The Travel Backpack went through nearly 20 rounds of prototyping before we began manufacturing it. Supply Chain Director Peter Lockett describes the prototyping and production process and how we work closely with our supremely talented manufacturing partners to bring a product from idea to mass-production.

Our Travel Line is manufactured near Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam by a contract manufacturer with whom we've worked closely for 3 years. Over 1200 people are currently working full-time on the production of Peak Design bags. These factory workers aren't direct Peak Design employees, but they are equally entitled to happy, satisfying lives. We are not successful unless they partake in that success. We negotiate fair pay and safe working conditions in our factories. We visit them regularly and invest in audits so we can confidently hold ourselves accountable to this objective.
