Following their win at the weekend; Man City 2-1 Chelsea, Manchester City still find themselves in third place in the Premier League. Crucially they are currently nine points behind the runaway leaders Liverpool. Following two almost perfect seasons in the Premier League, the reigning champions would have liked to have started this season's defence of their title in better style. There is still a long way to go however, and heading into the busy festive period Pep Guardiola will want his players to focus on reducing that deficit in time for 2020. Rumours are circulating about whether this could be Pep’s last season as Manchester City manager. What do you think? Kevin De Bruyne has once again emerged as a key player in Pep Guardiola’s Man City side after an injury hit season during 2018/19. The Belgian has reached his peak form and has been unplayable at times this season, already registering 9 assists which is almost double the second placed player; Liverpool’s Andy Robertson with 5.
