Sage / Breville Barista Pro Review - Video 1 of the New Barista Pro Series.

As promised, my first in a series of videos looking at the Barista Pro in detail.

By the way, when I say push the portafilter into the cradle and push it again to stop - I'll expand on this in the coming videos, but to expand on that slightly here as I probably should have done in the video:

It's a timer grinder, you can adjust the timer to get the right dose, but you start the grinder by pushing the portafilter into the cradle, and you can stop it by doing that again - or it'll stop by itself when it reaches the set grinding time.

This means it's not just a timer grinder, it's also an on demand grinder, you can set the timer for more than you'll need & just stop it when you think you're about there, and then weigh it, grind a bit more if required.

Also, when you push it to stop before the grind time is complete, it pauses - so what I'd usually do with the barista machines is to stop the grind mid-way through, level it off with my hand so I don't have a big mountain of coffee building up and spilling all over the drip tray, and then start the grind again.
