In our continuing mini-series on South East Queensland's lost amusement parks, we'll visit Brisbane's northern neighbour, the Sunshine Coast.

Based on the area's agricultural roots, many of Sunshine Coast's tourist attractions and theme parks are built around "eco-tourism". As the Bruce Highway opened up to travelling car tourists, so did numerous farmland tourist centres, theme parks, wildlife centres, a big pineapple, and a curiously large bovine...

These included the Buderim Seal Park, the Tanawha Aquajet, Dino's Fun Park, and the Superbee, along with Maroochydore's Nostalgia Town, Alexandra Headland's Olympia Theme Park, among many other long-gone sites.
