Cloud Cap Technology Piccolo Autopilots are capable of autonomous runway takeoff and landings. This video highlights the NASC TigerShark UAV performing several successful autonomous take-off and runway landings. The TigerShark is equipped with the Piccolo II Autopilot. In the last video segment, the TigerShark is under autonomous control in a dynamic cross wind landing. The Piccolo II Autopilot is also capable of a moving net recovery.

The NASC TigerShark-XP™ continues to be used by multiple academic, commercial, defense and research institutions. Because of its capability to handle rugged conditions and its versatile multi-payload capacity, the TigerShark-XP has proven to be a true workhorse UAV.

The TigerShark-XP is a variant of the US Navy RQ-23A TigerShark Remotely Piloted Aircraft. The RQ-23A has performed over 100,000 hours of highly successful Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions in numerous theaters of operation. NASC constantly integrates new technology into the TigerShark-XP design to appeal to a broader domestic and global customer base.
