Beginning this fall, students attending Harding University in Searcy will be able to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in artificial intelligence. Assistant Professor Joe Faith, who helped develop the degree program, speaks with host Donna Terrell about what students will learn and ethical concerns. The conversation continues with Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin on why he feels it’s important for states to have the ability to regulate AI. A 10-year moratorium had been considered by Congress but was removed from the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” which was signed into law last week. And in the final segment, so far in 2025 there have been 35 fire-related deaths in Arkansas, up from 27 in the entire previous year. Eddie Anderson, Community Risk Reduction Specialist for the Arkansas Department for Emergency Management, shares important information on how people can protect themselves and free assessments that can be made on home safety by local fire departments.
