Mod: mini TM1637 LED & Key Display

Описание к видео Mod: mini TM1637 LED & Key Display

Recently I purchased some of the TM1637 4-digit LED display modules. The double dots in the middle make them very suitable for electronic clocks.

Most clocks also require a few buttons, for instance to set the time. The popular TM1638 LED & KEY module has plenty of buttons as well as additional digits and some extra LEDs.

The TM1638 chip is similar to the TM1637. In the datasheet of the TM1637 you can read that that chip also supports buttons and some more LEDs. Based on the findings in that datasheet I decided to modify the 4-digit LED module into a mini LED & KEY module. In this video you can see how I modified the module to add the buttons and some bi-color LEDs.

Update: recently I published the TM16xx library on my Github account. It supports TM1637, TM1638, TM1640 and TM1668, both for buttons and 7-segment and LED matrix displays: https://github.com/maxint-rd/TM16xx
