Описание к видео How to Love Like A Poet: Why Rumi, Hafez, Saadi Shirazi & Others Matter Today

Oludamini Ogunnaike and Feraidoon Mojadedi participate in an illuminating conversation on the distinctive capacity of poetry to communicate metaphysical truths and speak to our hearts. The conversation is inspired by Ogunnaike's "The Logic of the Birds, published in Renovatio: https://renovatio.zaytuna.edu/article... (https://renovatio.zaytuna.edu/article...)

Oludamini Ogunnaike, an assistant professor of religious studies at the University of Virginia, studies and writes on Islam, Islamic philosophy, spirituality, art, and African diasporic religions, as well as on philosophical aspects of postcolonial theory.

Feraidoon Mojadedi of Zaytuna College speaks on and teaches Persian and Urdu poetry, especially by Rumi, a calling that has taken him across the United States, the UK, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Germany and even in Konya, Turkey, where Mawlana Rumi is laid to rest.
