Песня "Козимнин карасы" (Ты зрачок глаз моих) написана на стихи великого казахского поэта, философа, мыслителя Абая (Ибрагима) Кунанбаева (1845-1904). Абай внес неоценимый вклад в развитие казахской культуры, поэзии, философии и музыки, сблизил казахскую культуру с русской и европейской (перевёл на казахский язык Пушкина, Лермонтова, Гете и Байрона).

The song "Kozimnin karasy" (You are the pupil of my eyes) is written on the poems of the great Kazakh poet, philosopher, thinker Abai (Ibrahim) Kunanbayev (1845-1904). Abai made an invaluable contribution to the development of Kazakh culture, poetry, philosophy and music, brought Kazakh culture closer to Russian and European (translated Pushkin, Lermontov, Goethe and Byron into Kazakh).
