SP Annamalai rushed to the spot & took stock of the situation. He handed a stern warning to the villagers & went on to say that he would go on to break the bones & legs of the villagers if they took the law into their hands.

Also he said that the cops should not have been manhandled & held hostage. Instead the incident should have been brought to the notice of the higher ups.
