Playing guitar and singing at the same time can be a struggle to multi-task. In today's lesson, Ayla is joined by Lisa Witt from our sister channel, Singeo, to provide a few tips and tricks to help you through the process of playing and singing together.

You want to have a solid grasp on the song and be comfortable with one of the two first before you try to do both together.

Simplify the guitar part (shredding can wait!) so you can focus on your vocals to apply it to the guitar chords of the song.

Start adding the lyrics. The sooner you start getting the lyrics down, the sooner you’ll internalize the song on a deeper level.
