How To Add Border To Images in Photoshop

There are two easy ways to add borders to images in Photoshop.

The first way is by using a layer style and choosing the stroke layer style. This creates a border around any image and you can control the size, opacity, and color of that border.

The second option for creating a border for a photo is by using the canvas size. You can change the canvas size of your image if you have one image in your canvas and add pixels or inches to both the width and the height of your canvas. Here, you can choose the color of the border as well.
The benefit here is that it won't cut into the image and it can have a different size border on all four sides.
