Loyola School Telco Celebrates 77th Republic Day with Patriotic Fervour: The school commemorated the 77th Republic Day of India with great pride, enthusiasm, and a deep sense of patriotism. The celebration commenced on a dignified note as the Principal, Mrs. Charanjeet Ohson, and the Administrator, Rev. Fr. Gerry, were ceremoniously escorted to the solemn strains of music played by the school band.
The programme began with a warm welcome address that highlighted the significance of Republic Day and reiterated the core values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Indian Constitution. This was followed by the unfurling of the National Flag and the reverent rendition of the National Anthem, which filled the campus with pride and national spirit.
The formal welcome address was delivered by Jason (Std. IX C) and Aadhya (Std. VII A), who eloquently spoke on the importance of the Constitution and paid heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters.
The cultural segment of the programme beautifully reflected the nation’s rich heritage and unity in diversity. It featured a patriotic choir performance, an inspiring Republic Day speech by Shifa Minz (Std. IX C), a thought-provoking skit highlighting the values of equality and justice, and a graceful dance performance celebrating India’s cultural diversity. A soul-stirring poem recitation by Aastha (Std. VI A) reminded the audience of their duties and responsibilities as citizens of the Republic.
The celebration concluded with the Vote of Thanks by the Principal, who expressed her sincere gratitude to the management, administrator, teachers, students, and parents for their unwavering support and collective efforts in making the event meaningful and successful. She also encouraged students to grow into responsible citizens and appreciated the dedication and hard work of all those involved.
The programme ended on a patriotic note with warm wishes of “Happy Republic Day” and the resounding slogan “Jai Hind!”, leaving everyone inspired to uphold and cherish the true spirit of the Republic.
