The AMD Threadripper 3970X and 3960X launched alongside the Intel Core i9-10980XE today. We already concluded that the 10980XE wasn't justifiable even before the Threadripper launch, looking at the 3950X's performance, but the TR3 series seems to further reiterate that point.
