The Searchers were a British rock band that formed in Liverpool in 1961. The group initially consisted of four members: John McNally (guitar, vocals), Mike Pender (guitar, vocals), Tony Jackson (bass, vocals), and Chris Curtis (drums, vocals). Known for their infectious and melodic style, The Searchers specialized in performing cover songs, often reinterpreting American hits with their distinctive sound. Their rendition of "Needles and Pins" became a massive success, reaching the top of the charts in the UK and the US. Unfortunately, the band witnessed a few significant changes over the years. Tony Jackson left the group in 1964, and Frank Allen joined as the new bassist. In 1966, Chris Curtis was replaced by John Blunt, and later, Billy Adamson. #death #singers #bands #instruments
