In this video, Brian shows us what a DOT Officer will be looking for during an inspection. These are guidelines and recommendations for all truck drivers so that they understand what DOT Officers check for while passing commercial vehicles so that they may select which ones to inspect. Brian also discusses his own encounters with D.O.T. inspectors during his driving career.

✓ Log Book
✓ Hours of Service
✓ Fax/Email ELogs
✓ Secure Airlines under the hood (no rubbing or movement)
✓ Brakes
✓ Leaks (oil leak)
✓ Tires
✓ Steering
✓ Leaf Springs
✓ Wiper Fluid
✓ Mirrors
✓ Light Test (every light on the truck and trailer)
✓ DOT Officers are looking at YOU!!
