🔗 1. Assume Referential Integrity
Used in DirectQuery mode to optimize query performance

Assumes that all foreign key values in the fact table have matching primary keys in the dimension table

Enables Power BI to generate inner joins instead of outer joins

Improves speed—but only safe if your data truly maintains referential integrity

🔐 2. Apply Security Filter in Both Directions
Used in Row-Level Security (RLS) scenarios

Ensures that security filters applied to one table also affect related tables

Prevents unauthorized data exposure through indirect relationships

Must be used carefully to avoid performance issues or unintended filtering

Use Assume Referential Integrity only when data is clean and validated
