These ordinary Kone MRL traction elevators never quite got the proper review, because what they replaced made me so angry.

This was the location of the crown jewel of epic motors, nicknamed “Chewbacca” and “Chewbacca Jr”. They were (and still are) some of the most popular elevators ever. Those elevators got tastelessly ripped out and replaced with… what you see here.

I was never able to film the originals, but I have experienced riding them, an experience that cannot be reproduced.

This video is 6 years in the making, because my original rides were biased.
