Topic Description:

When designing products, a key consideration that has to be kept in mind is tolerance; tolerance is the acceptable limits of variation for any given size.

Tolerance is crucial to maintain because it not only ensures proper fitment between components but it will also ensure proper motion between the moving parts. Therefore to ensure proper fitment designers tend to often strive for extremely tight tolerances, as a result this can lead to a surge in production cost. This is where tolerance stack-ups come into play, the designer/engineer has to decide the trade offs in order to ensure proper fit between the components.

In this webinar, we cover Inventor Tolerance Analysis and show users how to efficiently create stack-ups automatically, avoiding the need for manual work. A few of the learning objectives:

-Why does tolerance cause issues when assembling components?
-How to analyze assemblies for tolerance stack up problems with Inventor Tolerance analysis
-How to interpret results to benefit manufacturing processes

Inventor Tolerance Analysis is a tool that everyone on with the Product Design and Manufacturing Collection can leverage today.
