I originally wrote this song as a reminder to myself and everyone else to love themselves. As I got to the second half of the song, I immediately started thinking about someone very near and dear to my family and I. Last year I lost my cousin / little brother, and I realized through this song, I am also still learning to love myself while getting through the pain of losing someone close to me; that is the reason why I want to dedicate this song to Tuyan. Although my family and I are still grieving the loss of my brother, we must continue to love ourselves, to be strong and to care for one another.

To Tuyan:
Where ever you are, I know you're in a better place. I miss you EVERY day. I think about you EVERY day. I want you to know that the memories we created together, I will forever hold with me till the day I get to see you again. Peb "tsev neeg loj" nco nco koj heev. I want to dedicate this song to you because you also enjoyed music yourself, and you were there with me every step of the way. You played my songs to everyone around you and sang the lyrics like they were yours. I'm so happy that we got to be brothers in this life, and I hope we can be brothers in the next life. I love you.

Please remember to take time off for self care and put yourself first in times of need. Mental health is a real thing. This world can get crazy and sometimes people suffer in silence; I myself included. But I continue to stay strong because music breathes life into me, and I encourage you to find whatever breathes life into you. Thank you!
