During World War II, German submarines, known as U-boats, terrorized the North Atlantic. These Nazi subs were lethal to navies and merchant fleets, sinking hundreds of ships and thousands of tons of cargo. In May 1942, a U-boat known as U-352 faced off against the US Coast Guard Cutter Icarus. In the end, U-352 lost and sank to the bottom of the sea.

Today, she lies in 35 meters (115 feet) of water off the coast of North Carolina. Due to her historic nature, she is (understandably) a major draw for advanced scuba divers, myself included. Learn the history of U-352 and join me on an undersea adventure to explore her wreck.
