Love Not the World | 1 John 2:15 - 16 Explained

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world…” (1 John 2:15)

The “world” (kosmos) here is not the physical earth, but the system of values opposed to God’s ways. John warns us not to give our loyalty to this system, because it operates by deception, luring people into bondage through the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
