The Lost Art of Filmmaking Series represents Get To The Chopper's attempt to highlight examples of film language that no longer seems to appear on the radar of a majority of working filmmakers.

Here's a clip from SNEAKERS. A perfect example from Phil Alden Robinson as to how to cleverly stage a scene in one shot using blocking and motivated camera moves - but also using these techniques to highlight a subtext of the scene. Good work from Robert Redford here as well.

Like a mini-class in film school, the clips and columns cover the craft intricate blocking, camera moves, and, most specifically, the uninterrupted 'long take.'
