Hello Art Tribe !!! Hope you’re enjoying this video ! Here are the products I’m using + some tips for you to do your next floral castings.


♥️ FIRST: you need silica “sand”. This is the only brand I’ve used from day one. I’m obsessed and love it. https://amzn.to/4chooH9 Here are some tips. I go to the dollar store and get some of the larger Tupperware. Make sure the lid closes noce and tight. I add a light layer of the silica to the bottom and add the fresh florals. Try and leave a slight space between the flowers so the silica can cover in between the flowers. Gently add the silica around the flowers first and then gently into the flowers until fully covered. Cover with lid and store somewhere cool for 5-7 days. Larger flowers need longer time.

♥️ SECOND: you need some large molds. My advice is not to use anything under 3inch height. I promise you the 2 inch height molds will be a nightmare if you’re using anything kind of roses. ♥️ RESIN: (CODE “AnniesArt” for discounts plus free shipping) In this video I’m using the MAS Epoxies Deep Pour X. This is a deep pour that can go up to 3 inches. DONT GO TO 3 inches with floral pours. You will burn the flowers. I do 3/4 inch and let cure for 48 hours before next pour. The resin its self is wonderful and degases. Your first layer should be about 1/4 inch! This is when you place your florals. You don’t want rhat layer too thick. Think of this layer as your glue to hold the flowers. You don’t want them sitting very high. Also a thick first layer is going to make the flowers float. Once you cover all the florals with the Deep Pour X, you need to demold and TOP COAT ! Here I use the MAS Table Top. The initial cast when remolded will have a slight lip. If there’s any bumpy edges you can slight sand smooth. But don’t get rid of it. This lip will hold your top coat in place.
