Car Charging, Starting and Lighting System

Описание к видео Car Charging, Starting and Lighting System

The charging system of a vehicle powers the electrical components of the car. It consists of the alternator, battery, wiring, and electronic control unit (ECU) in modern engines. Older designs use regulators, but since newer cars are computerized regulators are often found in the alternator. The charging system has three main components: the alternator, the voltage regulator, and the batteries. The alternator generates electrical power to run accessories and to recharge the batteries. It is normally driven by a belt located off the crankshaft.
The starting system of a car comprises a battery, a starter, and an ignition switch. The ignition system ignites compressed air-fuel mixture in the cylinder at appropriate times. The charging system generates electricity required for the operation of the engine and for the operation of various electrical systems. The components of the starting system include the battery, ignition switch, neutral safety switch, starter relay, battery cables, and starter motor.
The lighting system of a motor vehicle consists of lighting and signalling devices mounted on the front, rear, sides, and in some cases on the top of a motor vehicle. The lighting system lights the roadway for the driver. It also makes the vehicle more visible, especially in low light conditions.
