Emmetropia & Ametropia/ Different types of refractive errors/Myopia/ Hypermetropia/Astigmatism

This video contains basic definitions about emmetropia, ametropia & presbyopia.
Emmetropia is a normal refractive state of the eye.
Ametropia is a refractive error of the eye. It includes myopia, hypermetropia and astigmatism.
Presbyopia is not a refractive error. It occurs as a normal physiological process as we age and reduces the accommodative ability of the eye.
These errors can be corrected with the help of glasses, contact lenses, laser and surgical procedures.
