This is a magnificent antique pair of Neoclassical gilt-bronze and marble mantel urns, circa 1850 in date.

This stunning pair of gilt-bronze urns are of delightful saucer shape, featuring splendid beaded borders and gorgeous acanthus cast socles. The details are extraordinary - the beading and the high reliefs of the foliate decoration, make this pair of bronze urns a virtuoso piece of workmanship.

This high-quality hot cast solid bronze urns were produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method.

They stand on sumptuous Sienna marble plinths, standing tall upright with beautiful square plinths. They are further embellished by splendid bronze foliate decorations, which add a touch of refinement to this splendid pair.
