As a landscape professional, Sara speaks to how residential landscapes affect the feel of a home, neighborhood, and the surrounding environment. Many people have yards, but are disconnected from them. Sara asks a simple question, what do we do to our landscapes and why and how can we do it better to serve us all? What if, instead of being an afterthought, we thought of our landscapes as an integrative part of our home, the fabric that weaves together our neighborhoods (creating a sense of place) and an influential part of our environment? Sara Bendrick is a landscape designer/contractor, TV host and author. Sara owns and operates Sarita Landscape Designs which focuses on residential design throughout Southern California. For part of the year Sara travels the country doing talks and hosting landscape renovation shows that encourage people to value the outdoor spaces they have.
