In his intervention at the official side event at the High-level Political Forum (HLPF) entitled ‘Pathways to Resilience: Advancing Solutions for Global Freshwater Quality,’ co-organized by UNITAR’s Global Water Academy (UGWA) and York University on July 16, 2024, UNU-INWEH Director, Prof. Kaveh Madani highlighted ongoing water quality issues and the need for collective action. He suggested taking action towards the inclusion of farmers in water management and understanding local contexts, especially in the Global South, to effectively address water security challenges.
